Is This Audio-Centric Browser Worth A Listen?
Songbird released their first beta version of their new software browser. From the release number 0.1, we can see how very new it really is. It is based on the FireFox browser. You know, FireFox, the increasingly popular open source browser that has been slowly, but surely nibbling into Internet Explorer's market share. Being open source, the "Songbirds" decided to reconfigure FireFox into the browser with a clear music focus.

I downloaded it last night and played with it a bit. Songbird shows real promise; I'll be interested in seeing future versions.
There definitely is some potential here. I think version 2 or 3 will be much more useful. A few plug ins wouldn't hurt either.
