Disasters Occur In Multiples
Perhaps this is becoming the "Curse of TechNudge," but it might appear that the technology powering things around here is falling apart. Many people I know, including me, suscribe to the theory that disasters occur in multiples. I often see the pattern of three's. I submit to you the following:
First, my Shuttle, stable for over 2 years has a spontaneous complete system malfunction.
Second, Bill's hard drive completely crashes, sending off a string of calamities.
I'm normally not superstitious, but I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop. Today, when I went to mow the lawn, my lawn mower, not even three years old wouldn't start. To make matters worse, the warranty ended at two years! Believe it or not, the mower died in the middle of the lawn. Now half my front yard is short, and the other half is rather straggly and unkempt. We'll add a new mower to the credit card bill.
Coincidence? Hopefully, this will be the third and final "issue" for a while. While it has slowed us down, this too shall pass!
