We own and use many portable electronic devices — digital cameras, mp3 players, wireless mice and keyboards, cell phones, handhelds, even electric shavers. They all require power and when a wall socket isn’t nearby, that means a battery. For some it’s one of the standard battery sizes (AA, AAA, maybe even the larger C size) while others require a custom made battery to maintain their sleek lines.
These batteries use a variety of different chemistries to derive their life giving electrons. Some batteries are disposable, and some are rechargeable.
