I wanted to convert a song from a DVD into an MP3.  Sounds like a simple task, huh?  Well, find out what program could do it, and which one didn't even come close...

You had better luck than I did.  I ultimately found a command line utility that ripped the entire audio track into an arcane format that then had to be converted to .wav or mp3.  After that step, I had to call up the entire sound track and find the piece I wanted.
