Lenovo Series 3000 V100

The box was too large to fit through the gun port, er, mail slot in the brass-bound oaken doors of the Lab and Doom and Pepsi Cola so the Fed Ex guy left it on the step after the auto-signer added its John Hancock (literally) to the paperwork. Sometime after sundown, the door opened and the step brought the package inside before re-assuming its position in the front.

lenovo01.gifIt was a little confusing. This was supposed to have been Lenovo’s wee bit of a 3000 series computer, the V100. The box was many times the proper size. Turns out it was one of those puzzle things, a computer under a box, inside a box, inside a box. The V100 that emerged was 1.25x10x12 inches (with the battery installed) and light enough to easily one-hand. The actual weight runs up between 4 and 4.5 pounds, depending on what accessories you’ve added. This one almost has it all:
