Holiday eGreetings
Here we are at the last minute holiday time, and we all scurry around trying to get those last minute items to complete our Christmas. With the Denver airport frozen under snow and ice, it's screwing up the whole country in terms of travel and shipping. What's a poor geek to do? The good news is that holiday shopping, at least for a card is as easy as it gets these days. Just head on over to Hallmark.com and you can choose, personalize, and send an eGreeting via email to your friend or loved one, whether next door, or on the other side of the planet.

All it takes is setting up an account, choosing the card, adding a greeting, and entering the recipient's email address. For that last minute running around, you can even set it up to send it the greeting at a later date. There are plenty of choices, and many of them are nicely done with animation, sound effects, and in some cases simple interactive games. The one pictured above is the "Burping Snowmen" that while particularly odd is rather entertaining for a verse or two (I hope I didn't ruin Bill's "surprise"...).
Given our spread out society, and inconsistent mail delivery, I find this a particularly reliable and quality service. The best part is also that it won't max out your credit cards one dime more, as the whole service is free. Happy holidays to all, and enjoy this service!
