Would you have any idea if there is a device to show which way to point the antenna for the OTA channels to get the best signal? I have a HELL of a time trying to find the signals! I tried to follow antennaweb.org but for some unknown reason, I have to have my antenna faced around 45 degrees opposite of what they tell me I should do to get a clear signal :(
I remember they had the compasses for the dish services to line up a sat dish when they first came out and was hoping they would have something similiar for HDTV. There are 2 channels that have to be spot on in order to get any signal, and I can not seem to find them all the time :)

#1 complaint about HDTV - can not record it from sat service! I will upgrade to HDTV once we get a HDTV for the living room, but for now I will just use the OTA in the bedroom to watch football and Nascar in glorious HD :)
Lots of folks complain that the directions for Antennaweb are waaaay off. They don't take into account the reflections, which can be stronger than the regular signal in certain cases.
Reportedly, some TV's do have a signal strength indicator, but alas, many don't.
It all comes down to trial and error in most cases.
TechNudge is totally reader-funded. Right now, $0.80 per visitor per month (about $10 per year after PayPal takes its cut) makes TechNudge self-suffiicent. Click the image above to contribute. Thanks.
