EXCELLENT rant - I raised that question when we got ours also ;)

Who called?  You public wants to know every detail of your personal life dammit ;)

OBD codes - some cars have a way to find the code without a computer hooked to it.  I know the kids old car it was tunr the ignition switch on off on off on off on - then it will flash the code for you.  You can them usually find a website that will tell you what the code is.  When you get the code that way I believe it also resets it....but I could be wrong.  I was looking at those ODB computer things you are getting, so I hope you will throw in a detailed report when you use it :)

The OBD thingie is due to arrive real soon so stay tuned.  It got very favorable feedback on Amazon so I'm optimistic about it.
