THANK YOU for getting rid of the music!!!! 8000000X better
It was too distracting with music being played while you were talking. I was always trying to listen to you, but got distracted by trying to figure out the song ;)
Now as for HDTV signals. I believe the Phillips antennas at wally world have the color coding, but i am not 100% positive. I bought the higher end Phillips amplified antenna and have had faily good luck with it. Antennaweb.org is useless to tell me which way to point the antenna since I get better signals by NOT following what they say..lol.
It is wierd also where sometimes I have my antenna facing say North and get all of the local channels with no blackouts when it loses the signal, but the next day I have to turn it to say the West because pointing it North keeps losing signals :\
I would prefer an outdoor antenna that is either OMNI directional, an antenna with multiple antennas pointed it different directions, or one that is motorized.
Mike
I would also like to know if there is any sort of meter out there that I could use to find my stations towers and have it tell me the precise direction to aim the antenna for the best signal possible. Maybe one of the readers/listeners can help me with that! hopefully!
Now it's no distractions, so it's just me entertaining the TechNudgers. Now my wit can really come through!
I've not heard of a meter to tune in the signals. I think some TV sets will indicate the strength of the signal and use that as their indicator, but it's less than elegant yelling from the rooftop as to whether the signal is improving.
I'm waiting for the cold to pass, and then I'll give it a shot with the new antenna.
TechNudge is totally reader-funded. Right now, $0.80 per visitor per month (about $10 per year after PayPal takes its cut) makes TechNudge self-suffiicent. Click the image above to contribute. Thanks.
