NudgeCast 9/3/08

Thoughts on a new laser printer, and Google's newest creation: Chrome. Also, yet another incredibly useful web site, this one involving math.

Oh, its fast because it isnt finished :) Once it gets all the bloatware in it, it will slow down a bit - just like Firefox has.

I liked ME too!

I listened twice. I just needed to confirm - I thought I was dreaming when I heard you say....

You don't wish to be a beta tester 'anymore' for Microsoft?

Was that a dream job for you at one point??!! Take if from a former beta tester....it suhhhuuuucks. Oh - those testers know each and every minutia flaw in every single release. And they are documented somewhere in the black hole of project management. And no - no one cares - in any industry - anywhere. Imagine having daily testing meetings discussing which KNOWN FLAWS you plan to ignore!!! And discussing them again and again. All the time and resources could have been spent just FIXING the damn issue. Once and done... But I'm not bitter. I just run a support group for ex-business analysts and testers. haha ;-0

No, beta tester was never a dream job for me. I still can't believe that MS can't just "get it right" the first time. Many of us are suspecting that the next version of Windoze, so called "version 7" may be really good and stable. Of course it'll be delayed for years so it betta be good. In the meantime, I'm glad that me and Vista are getting along fine.
